Taking inspiration from primary colors, I designed an area rug that was simple yet playful. But where would it actually live on? I then began to imagine a couple who was looking to design their newly purchased apartment in Mexico City. They are artistic people who enjoy having friends over for a glass of wine and a good record playing in the background. In the end, the classic primary color combination that often feels childish, became sophisticated.
